Now for a confession...an honest one at that...no sour grapes here...
The River Nile ( or as its pronounced in Arabic, the Neel ) is not that great really. The Brahmaputra has far more character and is more majestic....any day!!!

Guess, the Nile you might have seen is somewhere close to the delta region where they drain themselves. So, might be polluted as well(might have got polluted all through their journey from Central-Africa).
I remember Bramhaputra quite well. Standing on Kamakya temple and looking at Bramhaputra is a truly awesome sight.
